Trump convoy stops at Coop service station
US President Donald Trump has left Davos, but he couldn’t use the helicopter due to fog so a convoy of 30 vehicles took to the road.
Police closed sections of the autoroute on the way to Zurich airport. But the presidential convoy – like anyone else – had to stop for fuel on the way. The press is speculating maybe the Americans wanted revenge on Migros and used a Coop service station.
A couple of days ago Migros tweeted a picture of a hot air balloon in the shape of its own brand of washing up liquid – which of course is orange. The caption read: Spotted: an orange bottle on the way to Davos.
Whether they was decisive on where to stop is unknown. Trump, if he was in any of the cars, was not spotted.
In contrast, President Bill Clinton was also forced to take the road after Davos once – he got out of the car and made time to chat with staff and customers during a fueling stop.
