Press speculates Roman treasure to be found beneath Federer's home
Could the tennis star Roger Federer be sitting on a Roman treasure trove?
The press this morning is speculating building work on his new home in Rapperswil-Jona could unearth coins and gold.
It’s known the site of his new home used to be a brick and chemical factory in the 19th century. There are record showing Roman artifacts were found at that time.
Even before that, in the 17th century, legend tells of a farmer finding a pot of gold on the same site.
