We love our trains – according to the latest numbers which show Swiss passengers travel more kilometers on rail than any other country in Europe.

The latest numbers from Eurostat show in this country the average traveler took the train 71 times in the last year for almost 4,000 km.

The next closest was Austria with only about half as much.

Most of the journeys are made by commuters.

Although Swiss Federal Railways maintain they run the most punctual service in Europe, there have been increasing complaints of late arrivals.
