Humanitarian Aid Unit sent to help Albania earthquake crisis
Switzerland is joining other international rescue operations in Albania after a major earthquake struck in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
So far 26 people have been confirmed killed and hundreds injured.
Many more are homeless and are now living in tents. More than 250 aftershocks have been recorded.
Other countries sending help include Italy, Greece, France and Turkey. The US is offering technical help.
Switzerland is sending 15 specialists from the Humanitarian Aid Unit. Their main task will be searching for possible survivors in the rubble.
