Escalade runners refused free public transport

National News // Nov. 28, 2019

Runners in this year’s Course de l’Escalade in Geneva will not be entitled to free public transport.

For the last few years any registered competitor in the annual races would be able to ride to the centre of town for free, provided you can show your bib.

But not this year – the TPG and the race organizers were unable to come up with an agreement.

Despite the lack of free transport – the recommendation remains the same. If you’re heading into the centre of Geneva to either run or support friends – take public transport.
