Swiss People's Party politician used pepper spray on anti-racists
A local politician for the Swiss People’s Party has resigned after he was identified for using pepper spray against anti-racist demonstrators in Schwyz.
Video footage shows the man using the spray last March.
Investigators believe the man is also a member of a secretive right-wing group.
The man says he was defending himself – but the footage doesn’t seem to show him under threat.
The president of the Swiss People’s Party in Schwyz Roland Lutz says he doesn’t believe the incident will harm the wider party.
