Léman Express will still be under construction at launch date
Although the new Léman Express train is on schedule to launch on December 15th – there will still be plenty of work to do.
The service will revolutionize public transport around Geneva and neighboring France.
Engineers admit many of the train stations for the new service will not be finished by launch date.
Work around the Eaux-Vives station still needs several months more – the full completion of the regeneration won’t be finished for several years.
Other stations also need more time – especially around Lancy Pont-Rouge and in Annemasse in France.
Despite passengers having to put up with the work, the new train service is arriving on time.
All Geneva commuters are being urged to check public transport timetables as the new service will mean changes to many existing bus and tram schedules and routes.
