Small quake rocks northern Switzerland
A minor earthquake shook northern Switzerland awake in the early hours of this morning.
The Swiss Seismology Service says the 3.9 level quake was centered around the southern German town of Abstadt – about 50km north of Schaffhausen.
Police on both sides of the border say they received calls from worried residents who’d been woken up by the shaking.
No damage has been reported yet, but the strength of the quake could lead to minor cracks in buildings.
