More door problems on trains
Swiss Railways is under further pressure to check safety systems after two different trains on Friday travelled at high speed with doors failing to close.
One train heading to Brig left Geneva main train station on Friday evening with one door open. It wasn’t closed until the train reached Nyon.
Earlier on the same day a train in canton Aargau travelled for 8km with a door open.
Swiss Federal Railways say both incidents will be investigated. The company is under pressure to fix any door problems after the death of a conductor in August. He was stuck in a door when the train pulled away and was dragged for several hundred meters.
