Ironically, the company was offering to stop all unwanted telemarketing calls for a subscription of CHF 129.

A 33-year-old was jailed by a court in canton Aargau. His assets of CHF 200,000 have also been seized.

The company called at least 240 people who had already opted out of sales calls. The company would send invoices to the customer even if they said they were only willing to receive more information. If the customer didn’t pay, then aggressive reminder notices were sent.

Two others were also in court, they’ve been fined between CHF 3,000 – CHF 5,000.
