Overrunning roadworks cause chaos in Geneva
Thousands of Geneva commuters were held up on the way to work yesterday morning as overnight roadworks overran.

Buses were unable to cross the Mont-Blanc Bridge until 7.30. By that time, schedules were completely thrown into chaos.
Even when the bridge reopened – the problems didn’t end. By that time many drivers were reaching the legal limit they can be behind the wheel and had to park the bus until replacements could be sent.
Some commuters had to wait for nearly an hour for a bus.
The bridge closure also caused major traffic problems.
Everything was back to normal by 11.30.
