Switzerland-born Turkish man to be deported
A Turkish national who was born in Switzerland and never lived in his home country is being deported.
A Bern court says the 25-year old’s residence permit will be cancelled.
The man has been convicted of 61 crimes in the last two years – many of them violent offences, including assault, robbery and arson.
The court says integration has clearly failed and a move to Turkey, where he does have family, is reasonable.
The man will be forced to leave after he has served a 40 month prison sentence.
