Bank information shared with 63 countries to thwart tax evasion
Switzerland has shared bank account information with 63 countries as part of the agreement to thwart tax evasion.
In return, this country was given information on Swiss citizens who have accounts abroad.
The country with the biggest exchange of information was Germany.
In all there are 75 countries Switzerland has a sharing agreement with – but some either don’t fulfil data security laws or chose not to have it.
