New cyber-security NGO makes Geneva home
Geneva has a new non-governmental organization which will further strengthen the city’s role as a centre of cyber-security.
The new CyberPeace Institute is backed by Microsoft and Mastercard.
It will work to help people whose lives have been harmed by cyberattacks – especially those most vulnerable – and help them to become more resilient to attacks.
More broadly, the institute will also highlight the biggest problems and promote positive cyber behavior.
Geneva is also home to a foundation which promotes links with innovation, science and diplomacy and Microsoft is also working towards a new Geneva Convention on how countries should behave in cyberspace.
