Man jailed for the abuse of 19 girls aged 5 to 9
A man has been jailed for six years and banned from working with children for 10 years after being convicted by a Geneva court for abusing 19 girls aged between five and nine.
The 35-year-old worked at summer camps run by the charity Caritas.
The man was arrested in February last year after a victim’s parents reported him. He started abusing girls in 2011.
The court heard the man also took photos of the abuse and shared them online. Many of the images and videos remain available on the dark web.
The man sobbed at the sentence and had to be helped out of the court. He’s also been ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment.
