Fête des Vignerons expected to make CHF 16m loss
The massive Fête des Vignerons – the winegrowers festival – held every 20 years or so is set to make a loss on the same scale.

Organisers say they expect to be in the red by CHF 16m – that’s a loss of CHF 1.6m a show despite selling some tickets for well over CHF 300.
But the president of the Winegrowers Guild, Francois Margot, says not all the numbers are in and the accounts have yet to be closed.
It’s expected costs will show a budget overrun of between 5 and 10% on a total budget of CHF 100m.
