Swiss arms companies accused of providing to Hong Kong police force
The pressure group Switzerland Without An Army says it's scandalous Swiss arms companies have been supplying the Hong Kong police force.
For the past several weeks demonstrators have been out on the streets in the Chinese colony demanding more autonomy and democracy for the region.
Research shows Swiss companies have been selling rifles, ammunition and night vision equipment to Hong Kong police since 2012.
There are calls to stop all arm shipments to Hong Kong. A spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry says all export applications are examined on a case by case basis.
