The 47-year-old was partying hard on Swiss National Day at the beginning of the month – and had a lot to drink.

He got into his car and was stopped shortly after. A breath test showed he was way over the drink drive limit. Then the man admitted he panicked. He ran home, grabbed a hand gun and waved it at the police. They drew their weapons and ordered him to the ground. Fortunately, he complied.

He knows he was lucky the police didn’t open fire and is now apologetic. His gun was not loaded.

He still has cuts and bruises from when the officers overpowered him and placed him in handcuffs. He also accepts that was necessary.

Police are still investigating.
