Police identify headless body on Swiss-French border
Police have identified the headless body found near the Swiss border in the French town of Ferney-Voltaire.
He’s an 81-year-old Swiss national who’s been missing since early June. The body is said to be in an advance state of decay.
Police say the head was found nearby and the man wasn’t wearing trousers.
Police are not ruling anything out – it is possible the man searched for a secluded spot to relieve himself and then suffered a natural death. The body was later mutilated by wildlife.
Investigations are continuing.
