Swiss system could cut plane boarding time in half
A new Swiss system could cut the amount of time it takes to board a plane.
Currently it takes on average 17 minutes for all passengers to find their seat.
The new boarding programme has been designed in Switzerland and takes into account if the passenger is by the window or in the centre of the aisle – irrespective of whether at the back or front of the aircraft.
It’s been tested successfully by Lufthansa on short-haul flights.
