Women's retirement age to increase to 65
The government has put forward yet another plan in an effort to shore up the struggling Swiss pensions fund.
The retirement age for women will be the same as men at 65. Currently it's 64. The increase will come in over 4 years, with an increase of three months at a time.
Two other ideas put forward have been rejected by voters.
VAT will also rise by 0.7% and an extra CHF 700m will be paid into a special hardship fund.
In addition, both men and women will be offered financial incentives to keep working until 70.
