Government to crack down on money laundering
The government wants to tighten money laundering laws to bring it more into line with international norms.
The plan is to require lawyers and financial advisors to check details more strictly.
The release of the ‘Panama Papers’ in 2015 showed more than 1,000 Swiss lawyers and financial advisors set up around 38,000 offshore companies in the last 40 years.
Many of the administrators of those entities have links with Switzerland.
