Man attempts to bribe colleague to help murder wife
A man is in court in canton Fribourg charged with attempting to hire a work colleague to murder his wife.
He offered his colleague CHF 10,000 and a mini-cooper if he would help throw his wife off the Rossens Dam and make it look like a suicide. Instead of accepting the offer – the colleague went to the police.
The man’s wife had left him and was seeing someone else. He had spotted her in a parked car with her new partner. He told the court until that moment he had hoped there would be a reconcilitation.
Prosecutors are asking for 12 years in jail – the trial continues.
