Police question parents of child overheating in car
Parents of a 2-year-old child are being questioned by police after a passer-by rescued a toddler from an overheating car yesterday afternoon.
The car was parked in the sun at Stein am Rhein in canton Schaffhausen. The child was crying and the passerby opened the unlocked car, took the child out and called the police.
It was more than half an hour before the parents returned to the car.
The police say if the car was locked, it would have been right for the passerby to have broken in.
Investigations are continuing.
