Health insurance premiums are expected to rise by 3% next year, according to the price comparison site Comparis.

The company says rises in drug costs are the main reason.

There’s already pressure from payers complaining health costs are too high.

But there are hopes that new drugs, especially for cancer patients, mean more can be treated on an out-patient basis and not with overnight hospital stays.
