Switzerland to reopen Needle Parks
Almost 30 years ago Switzerland was famous for its open drug use.
So called Needle Parks attracted addicts from all over Europe. It was a place where addicts could inject without fear of arrest, but also get help if they asked.
The parks will open again next month – but this time for a celebration. Hundreds of former addicts are expected to converge on one of the biggest, the Platzspitz in Zurich.
A spokesman for Narcotics Anonymous says it will be an opportunity for people to share their experiences.
