Coop recalls cheese containing faecal bacteria
The Coop supermarket chain is recalling a French soft cheese as it may contain faecal bacteria.
The cheese, St. Marcellin Crémier, comes from the maker Fromagerie Alpine.
Contaminated cheese may cause diarrhoea, cramping and even bleeding.
Customers are being told to take the cheese back to the shop for a refund. If anyone has become ill, the company says customers should tell their doctor if they may have eaten the cheese.
