The 15-year-old boy, who lived locally, climbed onto the top of the train while at Le Châble station on Saturday afternoon. He touched a live cable.

He was taken to Sion hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Police are investigating. A support centre has been opened for the boy’s friends who were with him at the time.
