Geneva police narrowly miss catching cash machine thieves
Geneva police managed to stop a gang tearing out a cash machine in Vésenaz yesterday morning.
But the would-be thieves managed to escape.
Nearby residents called the police at around 4am yesterday after they heard a bang. Four people were then spotted trying to prise out the Credit Suisse machine.
Police say they arrived just as the gang were fleeing in a car.
Police forces across the country say they’re battling a spate of attacks on cash machines, especially in border areas.
