Police investigate wolf killed by shotgun
Valais police are investigating after a wolf was found dead, killed by a shotgun.

Wolves are protected and can only be killed with cantonal permission if they’re thought to be a threat to livestock.
The animal was found last Tuesday, but the police have recently issued a statement confirming how it was killed.
The body was taken to an animal hospital in Bern for examination.
It's thought there are about 40 wolves living in Switzerland after they were reintroduced in 2012.
