The cantonal school in Wettingen is refusing to go into details to protect the identity of the girl.

Local press reports suggest the teacher was already known for making lewd comments to female students. Many of the children said they were not surprised.

The student is thought to be aged over 16, but under 18. Although the age of consent is 16 – it remains illegal for those in charge of teens to form relationships with any under their charge.

A decision on whether or not to prosecute the teacher is still to be taken.
