Woman charged with manslaughter after boat incident
A woman has been convicted of manslaughter after a 29-year-old woman died in Lake Zurich in 2017.
In August of that year Helena H was sitting at the front of a speed boat with her legs in the water, the boat’s skipper was travelling at high speed and hit a wave. Helena slipped off the boat and was hit by the propeller. Her body was recovered the next day.
The court ruled the skipper was ultimately responsible for the safety of her passengers. She’s been fined CHF 50,000 and has to pay compensation of CH 6,000.
