Two in court for sex tape blackmail
Two people are in court in Zurich accused of blackmailing one of their cousins with a sex video.
It's alleged they demanded money to make sure the tape remained secret, at one point asking for CHF 50,000. He had already paid CHF 20,000.
During the case, the mood in the court turned ugly, forcing police to restore order and search some of those in the public gallery with metal detectors. The judge called it a preventative measure.
The cousin is concerned for his safety as he feels his Kosovar family may seek revenge after the case.
The tape shows him with another man and a married woman – also with homosexual activity. It was made in 2012 – and the court heard there have been regular demands for payment ever since.
The case continues.
