Swiss Federal Railways warns of train-line closures
Swiss Federal Railways is warning there will be more replacement bus services running this year as the company upgrades tracks and trains.
Last year the introduction of a special summer timetable allowed for fewer trains and more buses. There will be more disruption later this year.
The company blames several years of underinvestment and now has to catch-up with the work.
A spokesman for the train company says using buses allows for the complete closure of sections of line which means the upgrades can be done quicker.
