Swiss Federal Railways' punctuality falls
Swiss Federal Railways is doing well financially, but punctuality is falling.
The company made a profit of CHF 568m – but only 90% of trains were on time in the last quarter of last year. The head, Andreas Meyer, says that will get better.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, he blamed technical problems and the delay of new trains from the manufacturer.
The worst performing routes were the most used – such as the Bern/Zurich line.
But he stresses they’re working hard to bring punctuality back to its high levels.
