National News // By Tay Kinnear // March 19, 2019

Train passengers are being offered the chance to read several online magazines for free while waiting at the station.

In a partnership with Swiss Federal Railways, passengers can browse magazines such as GQ, Gala, Vogue and PC Magazine – and many others.

Users have to download an app which checks the location. When waiting at the station, it allows access.

The train company then pays the magazine companies for the content.

So far, it’s only available at Bern, Basel, Zurich and Lucerne stations. But it’s hoped it will expand to more stations and more magazines.
