That’s the result of an experiment carried out by the World Cheese Championship winner Antony Wyss.

He played different music – and various sounds – to the cheese while it was maturing. It ranged from classical to rock to tones at different frequencies.

The experiment lasted for eight months with the sounds playing for 24 hours a day.

In a blind taste test, the cheese that had the 1991 track ‘We got the jazz’ by A Tribe Called Quest, was named the best and was significantly different from the others.
