Karin Keller-Sutter says in the event of Britain crashing out of the EU, it could mean a jihadist from the UK could enter Switzerland without authorities knowing.

She told the NZZ newspaper that the EU wants all the data Britain sends to the EU under the Schengen Information System to be wiped in the event of no-deal.

Keller-Sutter says if that happens it will make the whole of Europe, and Britain, less safe.

She says it not just Switzerland that’s raising concerns about the planned wiping – but she says the EU is more concerned about following principles than safety.
