Collusion allegations lead to WWF Swiss branch exodus
The Swiss branch of the World Wildlife Fund says dozens have left the organization after allegations the charity colluded with criminal paramilitaries in Africa and Asia.
But the Swiss Development Agency says it has no plans to stop supporting the work carried out by the WWF.
Last week a Buzzfeed news article alleged the NGO is working with anti-poaching rangers involved with torture and murder. The report then alleged WWF staff pressured authorities not to press charges against the possible perpetrators.
The Swiss branch says 35 have cancelled their membership.
