The 33-year-old Frenchman was in Geneva for a job interview and failed to stop for a police check. He says he knew his car would fail a technical test.

He hit speeds of 100 kph in the middle of town while being pursued by 12 police cars. A cyclist was seriously injured during the chase.

The man was found to have THC in his blood and cocaine was in his car.

After his prison sentence, he will be barred from entering Switzerland for five years.
