Cocaine-buying MP could face criminal record
A national MP for the Swiss People’s Party could face a criminal record after buying cocaine from a street dealer in Bern.
66-year-old Luzi Stamm says he wanted to show how easy it was to get drugs. He called the police himself who confiscated the drug within the walls of the Federal Palace.
The police confirm the package handed over did contain the drug.
While he could theoretically be jailed for up to three years, Stamm says in a video statement that he doesn’t expect more than a CHF 100 fine as he says he has respectable reasons.
