A report from the Transport Workers Union says half of drivers say they’re tired and anxious.

A third of them say they have gone to work not feeling in full control of their faculties.

They blame aggressive car drivers and cyclists as well as their own disruptive passengers.

The increasing popularity of e-bikes is only adding to their problems as riders can be unpredictable – by over and undertaking.

Federal statistics back up their complaints. Numbers show in 2011 there were 416 accidents with buses, in 2017 – 737. A rise of 80%.
