Young climate activist travels to Basel town hall
The 16-year-old Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg is traveling to Basel today after addressing a crowd at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
Thunberg is urging students to strike on Fridays to raise awareness of the danger of climate change.
She’s due to meet fellow activists at midday today on the steps of the Basel town hall.
The protestors are calling on the Swiss government to recognize the crisis and set a target of zero greenhouse emissions by 2030.
