Brexit leaves Theresa May unable to attend Davos meeting
British Prime Minister Theresa May is the latest world leader to say she won’t be attending the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
Downing Street says May is too busy with the Brexit crises to leave London.
US President Donald Trump has also pulled out of the meeting as he grapples with a government shutdown in a pollical battle over building a wall on the Mexican border, and the French President, Emmanuel Macron says he won’t be there as the gilets jaune protests continue.
German chancellor Angela Merkel and the Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe are still scheduled to attend.
The top-level meeting kicks off on Monday.
