Crash in Sweden kills six Swiss nationals
Six Swiss nationals have been killed in a crash in Sweden.
One other is seriously injured.
The Department for Foreign Affairs says they have a team in contact with Swedish authorities and counsellors have been sent to Adelboden in canton Bern where most of the victims lived.
The deceased are all men, aged between 20 and 30.
Swedish police say the group were on their way home after a ski trip.
The former Swiss ski champion, Oliver Kuenzi, who’s also from Adelboden, expressed his shock and says he went to school with one of the victims. The local council has issued a statement saying it sends its sympathy to the families and is offering help.
