More people getting face tattoos in Switzerland
More and more people are getting tattoos on their faces in Switzerland – and some are warning it could hamper job prospects.
While tattoos have become extremely popular in the last few years, many are still cautious about any that are above the neck. Some tattoo artists refuse to tattoo faces, while others say they will only do it after long consultations with the customer.
A spokeswoman for the recruitment agency Adecco says facial tattoos make it difficult to get jobs which involve direct customer contact.
It does seem many regret their decision later. A tattoo removal specialist, Dr Michael Schorn in Bern, says he’s busier than ever.
He also says it’s expensive. On average it will cost 10 times more to remove a tattoo than it was to have it done.
