
Switzerland agrees treaties with UK in case of No-Deal Brexit
The Federal Council has agreed a series of treaties with the United Kingdom which will come into effect if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

While the agreements cover trade to makes sure business sees no difference after Brexit, there are also many assurances for workers.
Both countries say their nationals will continue to enjoy freedom of movement rights, securing the rights of Britons in Switzerland and Swiss in the UK.
British citizens in Switzerland will keep all pension, healthcare, education and social security rights. Also, the mutual recognition of professional qualifications will remain.
Switzerland will also continue to respect the rights of UK nationals who currently hold a cross-border working permit. Although residence rights in the EU still have to be agreed with the EU.
There are 40,000 UK citizens living in Switzerland with a further 2,600 crossing the border every day to work. 14,000 Swiss live in the UK.
