Wildlife officers conduct humane shooting of five goats
Cantonal wildlife officers had to shoot five goats, including three kids, that had been left on the mountains by a famer in Graubünden.
Authorities say they had contacted the farmer several times to get the animals, but he ignored their requests.
They had been stranded on the mountain since the beginning of the month. There’s been several attempts to capture them, but they all failed.
Welfare experts say they would have starved to death on the mountains and shooting them was the most humane thing to do.
