Swiss investigation into Morandi Bridge collapse concluded
Swiss investigators have finished their examination of the wreckage of the Morandi Bridge which collapsed in Genoa, Italy in August.
Sections of the bridge were taken to the Federal Material Research Institute in Zurich in November. The results are back in record time.
The report is now in the hands of an investigating magistrate - but the contents remain secret. The Swiss team did get a rebuke from the Italian authorities as they gave a Ticino based journalist some access to the information. But he’s making a documentary about the bridge collapse which will only be released when the investigation is concluded.
