National News // By Tay Kinnear // Dec. 5, 2018

Changes in Swiss VAT laws mean Amazon will no longer ship to Switzerland from non-EU sites.

The new laws come into force in January, but Amazon say they will stop accepting orders for Switzerland from outside the EU on December 26th. Also, any unused Amazon gift cards will be cancelled – even for orders from the EU. The online giant says use it now.

The new laws are designed to remove the advantage foreign mail order companies have over domestic firms.
